4 foreigners arrested by BI for overstaying

    The Bureau of Immigration (BI) has arrested four foreign nationals in separate operations against overstaying aliens in the country.   A report sent by BI Acting Intelligence Chief Fortunato Manahan to Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente said the foreigners were arrested recently by immigration operatives in Baguio, Bian and Manila.   Arrested were two Chinese, a Japanese and a South Korean, the BI said.   "All of them were caught in the act of violating Philippine immigration laws, thus they were arrested, detained, and charged with deportation cases," Manahan said.   According to the BI, overstaying and undocumented 48-...
